It’s time to continue telling about things I experienced when I lived in Japan! On November 14, 2012 I went with my school on a school trip to Kamakura and Enoshima. It was a lovely day!
Books of the Month: March 2014
I ended up not reading much at all during March either. I don’t really know why I didn’t make more time to read last month, but I simply must have had a lot of things to do.
Books of the Month: February 2014
One thing led to the other, and I ended up reading way less than I had planned to during February. But here are the books I managed to read!
Books of the Month: January 2014
One of the things I’ve promised myself for 2014 is to read more than I’ve done the past few years – a lot more. In January I read as many as 9 books – I think that’s even more than I read during all of 2013… What I thought I would do is to write a short summary here every month about what I’ve read. Some months there will be a little more, other months there will be a little less.
Asakusa, November 2012
In the middle of November last year I went on a date in Asakusa. It was the first time I went there, and it immediately became one of my favorite spots in Tokyo. Sure, I like the modern cities where there is bustling life and young people and always something cool going on! But I have always loved history, and sometimes it’s nice to go to the areas of Tokyo where it’s all about the city’s history.
Nippori – the Area Where I Live
Here are some photos from the area where I live! The photos were taken last fall.
Tokyo Sky Tree Aquarium
September 2, 2012. Tokyo Sky Tree. Didn’t watch the view though, but we kept to the shopping centre and the aquarium.
Wow, Time Has Passed Quickly
Yesterday, July 2nd, marked exactly 1 year since I came to Tokyo to study. 1 year! I can’t believe time has passed this quickly. Sometimes it feels like I have only lived here for a few months. The sad thing is I came here intending to blog regularly about my experiences in this amazing city – that hasn’t happened.
My Trip to Mt. Fuji and Fuji Q Highland
So I did go to many concerts last summer and beginning of fall, but I did other things as well! On of the things I did was going on a trip organized by my school, to Mt. Fuji and the amusement park Fuji Q Highland. It was a 3-day trip which included camping, cooking food together, and amazing hot-tubs!
Jingu Gaien Hanabi 2012
I went to a few firework festivals this summer, and my favourite one was of course the one where I could combine the awesome fireworks and my favourite singer! Takizawa Hideaki was one of the entertainers during the Jingu Gaien hanabi on the 10th of August. Here’s a review of that evening!
