I’m in a kind of nostalgia period I think. This morning when I woke up an old song had taken possession of my brain. I couldn’t resist putting the CD on and listening to it “for real”! So here it is, one of my favourite songs from the past (4th grade). Wasn’t he cute at that time?
It’s A Long Way to the Top
But right now it feel like the USA is more far away than usual, just becuase I can’t afford going there to see Hanson live on their tour… Jenny and Viktoria have already posted this video, but I’m doing so too, just because it’s so great! It’s not Hanson’s song, it’s a cover, but I think it’s the best cover they do.
Emergency Surgery for Patrick Swayze
I’m watching “Så ska det låta” (a Swedish music contest tv show) and they just sang “Time Of My Life” from the movie “Dirty Dancing”. It’s one of my favourite movies, I never grow tired of it. But it’s a little sad to remember how sexy Patrick Swayze was in that movie and then see how he fights cancer now.
Spring Feelings
What a lovely spring weather we have now! Both yesterday and today was sunny and warm, so I took the opportunity to go out and take some nice spring photos.
Fruits Basket
“Fruits Basket” is one of my favourite anime series. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should! It’s about Tohru Honda, a high school student who lost her mother in a car accident. She temporarily lives in a tent and finds a nearby house. It turns out Yuki, the most popular guy in school, lives there, together with his cousin. She soon discovers what’s so weird about Yuki and his family…
Maximal Nostalgia
Because of the concert last Monday I started to think about all the other bands I used to listen to ten years ago, and came to think of this band: The Moffatts. Here’s their video for “I’ll Be There For You”, which was one of my favourite songs at that time.
Photos From the Backstreet Boys Show
Here are some photos from the Backstreet Boys concert last Monday.
Goodbye Stockholm and BSB, Hello Boring Everyday Life
Two days in Stockholm with sis, it’s great to go out and have fun sometimes! Yesterday evening we went to Hovet and saw Backstreet Boys. So awfully great!!! We started queueing at 4:20 pm and got decent spots in front of the stage. The opening act was EMD (Danny is so cute!! And EMD is actually quite okay) and then some guy that Howie in BSB is manager for. And then we had to wait for a loooong time, which made many fans around me irritated and whiny. BSB finally entered the stage at 8:50 pm! They played a mixture of new and old songs.
Today’s Music Tip is Japanese
I love Japanese pop music (and some Japanese rock music too), and here is a tip. This duo is called Tackey & Tsubasa and consists of Imai Tsubasa (dark-haired) and Takizawa Hideaki (blonde). This is one of their best songs!
Over You
I usually don’t fall for so many songs on the radio that are played each and every day. You get tired of them so quickly when you hear them every day. But one song that really hooked me is “Over You” with Daughtry.
