It was thrilling to the very end! Who would win the Swedish Song Contest 2011? It turned out to be between the teengirl favourites Danny and Eric Saade – just as I guessed. Personally I crossed my fingers for Eric, so I was definitely happy when he won!I liked that the line-up was so diverse. Anything from Swedish folkmusic style to europop. Here are my comments about the songs:
Hanson @ London – x5!
This is amazing! After all these years of waiting, Hanson is finally coming to Europe. And they will have no less than five concerts in London – between June 5th-10th! In addition to performing all their five studio albums, they will also add The Story – an event for fanclub members where they talk about each album. The pre-sale for fanclub members starts tonight!
The Second Chance
All finalists for the Swedish Song Contest have been chosen! The final two are Sara Varga and The Moniker. It will be interesting to see the final next Saturday!
Let’s Dance Has Soon Reached Its End
It’s getting more and more exciting. Now there are so few competitors left and I think all of them do a good job, most of the time. It’s difficult to decide who is most worthy of winning! But my favourite tonight was definitely Alexander Rybak – his charleston was the best dance of the evening, according to me.
Fourth Part of the Contest
Hadn’t Linda Bengtzing advanced to the finals tonight, something would have been very strange about the whole contest. So far she has always been part of the finals of the Swedish Song Contest, and this year won’t be an exception. Her song is as fresh and happy-sounding as always, and it was my favourite from tonight’s round.
Third Part of the Contest
This part of the contest was the one I had most looked forward to, and I wasn’t disappointed! My favourite in advance, Eric Saade, advanced to the finals (not at all unexpected), thank Heavens!
Second Part of the Contest
Tonight’s songs were better than last week’s. Brolle and Sanna Nielsen advanced to the finals. Hardly unexpected, and they were also my personal favourites so I’m happy. But I don’t agree about who advanced to the second chance and who were eliminated.
Tangled
Yesterday evening I went together with my family to watch the new Disney movie “Tangled”. It’s a new version of the classic tale about Rapunzel with the long golden hair. The kidnapped princess is called Rapunzel here as well. The handsome thief Flynn Rider happens to meet her on her 18th birthday and the adventure begins! This is a typical Disney movie, filled with humour, romance and just enough suspense. A movie worth seeing no matter your age!
First Part of the Contest
The Swedish Song Contest has started again. But I must say I was a little disappointed. The songs were not as good as I hoped they would be. The only song I thought was really good was “Something in Your Eyes” with Jenny Silver. Hopefully there will be better songs next week.
Farewell, my dear Lovis
One sign of that I’m getting older, a sign that I don’t like at all, is that people who I’ve known since I was a little child, suddenly die. The latest addition is Lena Nyman. Now I haven’t seen any of her movies except for “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter”, but I still miss her. Farewell, my dear Lovis.
