We went out geocaching tonight as well. But we weren’t as successful as yesterday, we didn’t find as many caches. But we did see a beautiful church that I didn’t know about before, and a beautiful area where I would like to go on a day off with a picnic basket!
My sister’s fiancé introduced me to a new hobby – geocaching. Short summary: with the help of GPS coordinates you search for hidden jars and boxes (caches) where you put your name on a list. I was fascinated that there are so many who do this around the world. Tonight I went out with my siblings and previously mentioned fiancé for our first geocaching trip together!
This is what I’ve been doing the past couple of days… I thought maybe it was time to start playing any of all the XBox 360 games I bought this summer, so I picked “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. Now I’ve finished the story, but I still have much to solve in the game!
There was a Närcon this year as well, even though it was much smaller than last year. And unfortunately not so well-organized. But the arrangers should still get some credit, as they started planning very late this year (there wasn’t meant to be a Närcon this year at all). The best thing was the gaming areas, karaoke contest and the party grill. The worst was the cosplay…
He’s finally put his winning anime music video from Närcon on YouTube! This was my favourite and I’m so happy it won!
Four days at Närcon, great! And this year it was beautidul, with giant banderoles, fences all around the area, and loads of movies to watch, games to play, and a lot of other things to do. The cosplay was a highlight as always. So many beautiful costumes! And I met many old friends.
I’ve wanted to start dancing jitterbug again for a year now, and this video doesn’t exactly decrease that wish… I want to go dancing right away!
Yesterday and today I visited the Linköping Folk Music Festival together with my sister and a couple of friends. Before noon today we learned how to dance “finnskogspols” and “slängpolska” – most fun was the “slängpolska”! We also went to a “halling” show by a Norwegian group called Frikar. They were amazing!
I’ve finally got home from NärCon. I’m totally exhausted. The cleaning squad went from 100 to 25 persons, having to clean multiple buildings between 4-10 pm. We just managed it…
Närcon had a new visitor record – 900 visitors. The convention was as fun as usual. But sadly many things in the organization didn’t work out as well as they should have. No schedules anywhere and not enough information about anything.
My fanclub has been chosen to be the official Swedish fanclub!!! We’ve waited for this decision for 6 months, and for each passing month I’ve been more and more pessimistic, and believed that THF would be chosen. But that wasn’t how it turned out. I was even happier when I got a text message from Thalia, my friend in Belgium, saying that her fanclub also was chosen to be official!
