Tonight I actually stayed up and watched the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. The Red Carpet started at 2 am, the award show started at 3 am and it ended at 5 am. The show was nice, but then, I haven’t watched so many movie awards to compare with, I usually just watch music awards.
Anyway, I watched because New Moon was nominated in so many categories and I was curious of the results – and they would show pieces of the upcoming Eclipse… As I sat there I got to know that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was also nominated in a lot of categories, and they also showed pieces from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, that was great!
The results were maybe not that thrilling, haha! New Moon won all the awards it was nominated for… That is:
“Best Female Performance” – Kristen Stewart
“Best Male Performance” – Robert Pattinson (I was hoping for Taylor Lautner…)
“Global Star” – Robert Pattinson
“Best Kiss” – Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson
“Best Movie” – New Moon
In addition, Anna Kendrick (Jessica in the Twilight movies) won the award for “Best Breakout Star” for her part in Up in the Air. And the award for “Best Villain” went to Tom Felton who is Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
