Jason Mraz Live!

Oh what a fun day I’ve had! During the afternoon me and my friend went to Fryshuset (in Stockholm) to queue for the concert. It got a bit cold during the evening, but not colder than I could stand it. But then, I did queue for 13+ hours during the first weekend iof March, with rain falling and only one jacket on, so I guess I’m a little hardened…

Anyway, we had a good time waiting. We didn’t talk to any of the other people waiting, but we talked to each other and ate our packed lunch. We haven’t met for one and a half years (and at that time we only met for a few minutes…), so we really had a lot to talk about. But, well, we mostly talked about Hanson, haha!

Our other friend didn’t get to Fryshuset until later in the evening. But we didn’t have a problem getting her to our spot in the waiting line. And then we were let in. We left our jackets in the wardrobe, hung our bags over our shoulders, waited for each other and walked – I repeat: walked! – up the stairs to Arenan. I think it was the first time I actually went into a concert arena without hurrying! When at a Tokio Hotel concert, sure, you have to walk down the stairs or the guards will stop you. But down on the floor, you run for all you’re worth!

Returning to this evening’s Jason Mraz concert… As I said, we walked calmly, still we ended up on the first row when the concert started. But there still was no pushing! None, zero, nada, absolutely no pushing! And I think that was the best thing with the whole concert.

The opening act was a girl called Ingur or something like that. She was kind of.. okay… No, not really, I didn’t like her at all. I just stood there hoping that each song would be the last one.

Finally Jason entered the stage! I had not listened to a whole lot of his songs before, but the concert was great! He knows his thing, his music is nice and easy to sing along to, he’s an entertainer… I enjoyed the whole show!

But as all concerts, it suddenly ended. Me and my friends waited for the audience to walk out of the arena so we could get out too. I turned away from the stage, but just as we were going to leave someone tapped my shoulder. It was one of the security guys, or someone from Jason’s crew, I’m not sure, and when I turned to him he gave me one of the setlists. So I have a setlist! What I like most about it is that Beautiful Mess was added by hand afterwards as an encore.

The only sad thing was that he didn’t sing Wordplay, which is one of my favourite songs. But the concert was still great! Now it’s bedtime. I will add photos and videos to the blog later!
