I visited the medieval fair in Wadköping, Örebro today before I got on the train to visit my boyfriend. I like medieval fairs – all the tables with clothing, jewelry, weapons, purses, sweets etc; the scent of grilled meat; the music played by the walking musicians; people shouting and talking everywhere; smoking fires; jesters having performances or walking around playing jokes on people.
I couldn’t stop myself from shopping as well. I found a beautiful thin silver ring and instructions (with patterns) for sewing my owl medieval shoes of the 14th century. As soon as I find good leather, and somehow learn how to sew shows, I will make my own shoes to wear with my medieval dress!
