One sign of that I’m getting older, a sign that I don’t like at all, is that people who I’ve known since I was a little child, suddenly die. The latest addition is Lena Nyman. Now I haven’t seen any of her movies except for “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter”, but I still miss her. Farewell, my dear Lovis.
Per Oscarsson Dead
The night before New Year’s Eve, the house of Per Oscarsson (a famous Swedish actor) burnt down to the ground. Yesterday it was confirmed that he and his wife died in the fire. He was 83. It feels so sad that they got this ending.
R.I.P. Uffe
Ulf “Uffe” Larsson has passed away at the age of 53. My eyes filled with tears, driving on my way home. To me, Uffe will always be “Söndagsöppet”, a famous TV show. I grew up with that show, and with Uffe. Here are a few videos to remember him by.
R.I.P. Patrick Swayze
Patrick Swayze passed away last night. I knew he was very ill, but of course I still was a little shocked and very sad. I have to admit I have only watched “Dirty Dancing” – but that is enough. He was amazing in his part there. R.I.P. my Johnny…
Michael Jackson Memorial
I’ve been sitting in front of the TV the whole afternoon and evening. First I watched the long documentary movie about The Jacksons, then I watched the memorial ceremony at Staples Center, and now I’m watching the end of the concert they’re broadcasting. It’s also available on DVD, I think I’ll buy it some day. It still feels unreal that Michael Jackson isn’t around anymore.
R.I.P. Michael Jackson
Yesterday evening I read that Michael Jackson was rushed to the trauma center, but not until noon today I found out that he passed away. It still feels unreal, like he’s not really dead – but he is. He was an extremely talented and great musician and dancer. It feels sad to watch the old videos, but here are some of my favourites.
