When I went outside my door this morning I stopped dead – not because it was raining again, but because it was freezing outside! Okay, I guess it was about 20 degrees, but that is freezing for being Japan in the middle of summer! And I had just gotten used to 35 degrees… I’ve complained about the heat earlier, but I hope that I won’t have to experience more Swedish summer now, I want the Tokyo summer back…
Tanabata Matsuri and Shopping in Nihonbashi
Today (or yesterday, July 7th) it was Tanabata Matsuri (七夕祭り) here in Japan, which can be translated as “the star festival”, och on the Friday we students of Akamonkai got the chance to celebrate the festivals like the Japanse do – by writing wishes on pieces of paper, which are then used to decorate bamboo trees.
The Membership CD Has Finally Arrived!
Finally! I’ve longed for the members only CD from the Hanson fanclub, couldn’t wait to hold it in my hands – and today I finally found it in my letterbox! And because the CD was so delayed this year, Hanson sent another little thing as well, as compensation – so now I have a specially designed key ring.
Carry You There
I have finally placed my order at Hanson.net. I ordered the DVD “Strong Enough to Break”, two albums and one top. I got some digital downloads for free too, so now I’m listening to and watching the video where they are singing “Carry You There”. It’s a great song.
Medieval Fair
I visited the medieval fair in Wadköping, Örebro today before I got on the train to visit my boyfriend. I like medieval fairs – all the tables with clothing, jewelry, weapons, purses, sweets etc; the scent of grilled meat; the music played by the walking musicians…
